One word to describe us: unique.

Ignite Creative School is not a traditional educational model. We are a microschool a project-based Learning school that puts high emphasis on community, Christ-centered discipleship, and creativity. (No more sit, lecture, worksheet, repeat).

Our goal is for your student to be engaged while learning deeply.

Have a question? We have an answer.

We aim to develop leaders.

Spiritual Discipleship

As Christians, we believe each of us is called to know Jesus personally and learn what it means to follow Him. At Ignite Creative School, we see adolescence as an important season for students to begin making their faith their own—not simply believing something because their parents do, but asking questions, seeking truth, and growing in their own relationship with Christ.

We love walking alongside families during this season of growth, curiosity, and sometimes uncertainty. Our goal is to support both parents and students as we learn to follow Jesus together as part of His Church.

We encourage this through weekly Bible study, daily prayer, and plenty of space for honest questions and conversations in the classroom.

Healthy Communication

Clear, kind, and confident communication is an important part of healthy relationships and boundaries. At Ignite Creative School, we help students learn how to communicate with respect and love—even during conflict or misunderstanding.

Students practice these skills through participating in presentations, oral reports, class discussions, and group activities. Our goal is to build strong public speaking skills while also teaching communication that reflects the character and wisdom found in God’s Word.

Good Brain Health

Good Brain Health

Brain health is an important part of a healthy life. At Ignite Creative School, we encourage habits that keep students curious, creative, engaged, and actively thinking through art, conversation, problem-solving, hands-on learning, and projects.

We also want students to learn how to care for their mind, body, and spirit, using God’s Word as a guide for making healthy and wise choices.

Creativity exercises the brain. It encourages students to imagine, problem-solve, communicate, make connections, and turn ideas into something meaningful. By regularly creating—not simply consuming information—students develop flexible thinking, curiosity, and skills that can serve them throughout life.

Homeschool Classes created to be as unique as your child.

Three Full Days

Our classes for full days run on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 8:35-3:25. This allows for students to participate in both core curriculum classes in the morning and art and skill-based classes in the afternoon. It also allows for a long lunch break where relationships can flourish over conversation, activity, and fun (a huge asset to our school).

Our classes for 2026-27 include creative and technical writing, science, and financial literacy classes.

Individual Classes

This year we expanding our reach and inviting non-full time students to join us for individual classes. These classes run four to six weeks, two days a week (for our non-Hybrid school students). Classes such as acting, video production, interior design, cooking, and journalism allow for self expression to ignite (see what we did there?).

What is a Hybrid Homeschool Model:

Hybrid Homeschool:

A Hybrid School (or Hybrid Homeschool) is a school choice that melds the best of private and public schooling with homeschooling. Students attend the hybrid school for the majority of their academic instruction, and then complete the remaining work at home. Although a hybrid in-class/homeschool model, students are still considered homeschool students per state law.

Unlike co-ops or other types of parent-led groups, hybrid schools have paid teachers and instructors who handle the weekly lessons in each core subject offered. In addition, students attend class with their teacher(s) and other students in a classroom setting. For this reason, hybrid schools are an exciting addition to Christian education - allowing for parents to have free time to work and manage the home. Meanwhile, students engage with peers in a brick-and-mortar school environment where they receive outside instruction.

The Nuts and Bolts

Hybrid School: Core Curriculum Time

Ignite’s learning model is inspired by Montessori, Charlotte Mason, Acton Academy, and other learner-driven approaches that encourage curiosity, independence, and deeper understanding.

Much of our learning follows a Project-Based Learning (PBL) model, which means students create projects throughout the year based on what they are studying in their core subjects. These projects give students a chance to apply what they’ve learned, develop their creativity, and practice communicating their ideas. Our project presentation days and Showcase evenings have become a favorite for students, instructors, and families!

During Core Curriculum, students study Geometry and Cultural Studies, Language Arts, Creative Writing, and Science through a mix of discussion, teacher-guided lessons, hands-on activities, reading, and independent work. Our goal is to help students become more self-motivated learners while still giving them the structure and support they need.

Most importantly, we want each student to understand that they are uniquely created by God with gifts, abilities, and a purpose. We want students to learn not only what to think, but how to think, create, communicate, and take responsibility for their own learning.

Within a safe, Christ-centered environment, students are encouraged to ask big questions, explore new ideas, and grow in confidence.

We love the community that is growing at Ignite and would be excited to have your student be part of the adventure!
